Mario Testino is known for his lively portraits that give you an insight on their personal life. His most famous shot is of Princess Diana for the Vanity Fair cover. This quote by Mario Testino inspires me to focus more on bringing life into the subject rather than focusing on the settings on the camera such as adjusting the ISO, white balance, etc. When I photograph models I tend to focus on the camera or the background rather than getting the model to come out of their shell and be themselves.

This quote inspires me to shoot in a controlled environment and solely focus on my subject rather than the small technicalities. The best photographers in my opinion are able to make the model relax and come to life. I need to be able to direct where and how the model should act without making them look or feel awkward.
